We are Adventure Moms DC. We are moms who find the adventure in every day to share with other families. We find adventure in the daily routine and also in the spectacular events and kid-friendly activities around the DC area. We love to share our favorite STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) adventures, introducing families to different aspects of the arts and sciences. Come adventure with us!
Hi! My name is Jen and I am a second-generation adventure enthusiast/ preschool teacher/ real estate agent/ mom to two amazing kids, one of whom is a human tornado.
I believe in fun! I believe in kids being kids! And I believe that children should be exposed to all sorts of adventure from an early age: from the arts to jumping in muddy puddles, and everything in between. I look forward to sharing all my honest reviews, tips, and tricks (most of which I learned the hard way) with all of you. Cheers to finding the adventure in every day!
Hello! I might be Mammy (or Mama) to my wee ones, but you can call me Colleen. In my previous life I was a botanist, but I happily traded taking care of endangered tropical plants for taking care of my three babies. My gaggle of girls keeps me on my toes and on the move. Everyday my girls are expanding my horizons and teaching me life lessons on our adventures together and I can only hope I’m doing the same! We explore everything our area has to offer as I try to teach my little loves to be curious, strong, independent, compassionate and kind. I am excited to share our experiences, the good, the bad, & the ugly, with all you adventure parents with me on this crazy ride called parenthood. We hope to see you out adventuring! Adventure Aloha!
Adventure Moms DC is also run by some amazing Adventure Dads:
Hello, I am Tim Vo. My IT services are mostly behind the scenes, but you may catch a glimpse of me out on Adventures. I am the one taking all the artfully posed Adventure pictures.
Alohaaaaaaaaaaa! I am Daniel Moriarty, webmaster extraordinaire. After years of telling my wife she should start a blog, she finally asked me to show her how. The rest is history. You can see me behind the lens documenting the adventures or in front of the screen editing digital media.
