Last night we were hosted by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to experience BSO: SYMPHONIC STORIES. The performance included works inspired by fiction and lore by Saint-Saens and Richard Strauss and featured Jonathan Biss in Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21. The performance was absolutely fantastic, set off by the stunning Music Center at Strathmore.
I never miss an opportunity to see The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Their concerts are always captivating and invigorating, even for someone such as myself with no formal background in orchestra music. The beautiful, mesmerizing music created on stage leaps off, gripping the audience with each piece. I have taken my six year old daughter several times and she, too, is always enthralled.
The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is a must-experience, and not just for adults! BSO has some wonderful family-friendly events coming up such as Movie with Orchestra: The Wizard of Oz (I have seen Movie with Orchestra: Harry Potter and it was PHENOMENAL!) Home for the Holidays, A Christmas Carol, and Music Box events which are geared toward children 6 months to 3 years old.
