We are just scratching the surface of the LEGO world in my family as we graduate to the “little” blocks. Even as a novice LEGO family we engineered some amazing family memories at Brick Fest Live, the only LEGO fan experience!
We loved the building areas! Each had a theme and there was a large impressive structure in the middle of the display that you could add your creations to. We loved the collaborative aspect as much as the building. It was fun to walk around and see all the different structures people added. The glow in the dark city was one of our favorites!Β
There is something for everyone at Brick Fest! Even my 1 1/2 year old enjoyed building. There was a large area for the littles with duplo block bins. We stayed there with her for at least 30 minutes and still had to drag her away. The Brick Fest derby was a favorite with our group! Our oldest is 4 and wasnβt interested in building a car, but we all loved watching the races! Contestants could build a car on top of the base however they wanted and there were some interesting and funny entries! The Brick Golf was also a big hit with our little crowd! Each hole had LEGOS surrounding the green.
There were some very impressive models including Star Wars scenes, buildings, ships and Pixar characters. The adults were better able to appreciate the complexity and skill of those engineering feats, but the kids thought they looked cool!Β
