5 things that I wish someone would have told me about music

November 8, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

$30

In this class we will present five big concepts and approaches to learning and playing music that I’ve developed over the years that have drastically simplified things and removed obstacles to progress. We will shine a light into the dark room of music, but don’t worry, we won’t spoil the mystery and joy of it but rather illuminate all of the beautiful art that is hanging on the walls. I will discuss each concept and give examples of how to apply it at any skill level to make playing music easier and more enjoyable. All instruments and skill levels are welcome.

Having grown up outside of Harrisburg in the Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania, Luke currently lives in Baltimore and plays professionally with local folk and jazz groups. He has performed with April Verch, Brad and Ken Kolodner, The Bumper Jacksons, Hot Club of Baltimore, and Baltimore Swing Drop. Beyond Baltimore, Luke has toured the US and internationally with his adventurous folk music duo Nick and Luke.
