American Red Cross Blood Drive at the Boro
October 22 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pmFree
WHO: The Boro, Tysons’ premiere destination for luxury urban living in the heart of Northern Virginia, is partnering with The American Red Cross to host a Blood Drive. This will be an essential part of the life-saving network connecting generous blood donors to patients who need blood to survive. There is an urgent need for blood donations right now, to meet the needs of patients in hospitals, as surgical procedures and treatments that were temporarily paused due to the pandemic resume again.
The Boro previously hosted a similar blood drive this July, where enough blood was donated to save 38 lives, according to the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross is also currently testing all blood, platelet, and plasma donations for Covid-19 antibodies for a limited time and donors will receive the free results of their antibody test within 7-10 days through the Red Cross Blood Donor App or by logging in to the donor portal at RedCrossBlood.org.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 22nd, from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
WHERE: Boro Station, Conference Room E/F | 1775 Greensboro Station Place | McLean, VA 22102
HOW: The Boro Station Conference Center will be used for the Blood Drive to allow for proper social distancing. Individuals who would like to donate are asked to make an appointment online at American Red Cross Blood Services to schedule their donation. Appointments allow the American Red Cross to exercise hygienic practices and provide donor services.
