Behind-the-Scenes Horticulture Tour at Mt Vernon

Tours are offered two times a day at 10AM and 2PM. Mount Vernon is open from 9am-5pm during this event.
Join long time Director of Horticulture, Dean Norton, for a special gardens, landscape and production greenhouse tour!
Stroll through the historic gardens and hear about the principles and practices of the 18th century gardeners and the plants they cultivated. View the landscape Washington designed himself in 1785 and gain appreciation for his vision and masterful plan incorporating pleasure and efficiency. Then depart the 18th century world and visit the production greenhouses for a behind the scenes look at what it takes to support the beautifully restored gardens and grounds of Mount Vernon.
Member prices for the tour are $10 and non member prices are $10. For Tickets
