The Hylton Performing Arts Center and its sister venue, the Center for the Arts at George Mason University, are excited to present Chamber Music Society (CMS) of Lincoln Center Front Row: National, a new digital initiative highlighting the talented artists of CMS through previously recorded high-definition concerts from the CMS archive. This digital event is part of the Hylton at Home and Mason Arts at Home digital performance series.

Barber: Souvenirs for Piano, Four Hands, Op. 28
Brown: Prelude and Dance for Cello and Piano
Mendelssohn: Sextet in D major for Piano, Violin, Two Violas, Cello, and Bass, Op. 110

This performance features pianist Michael Brown along with fellow CMS musicians in a program infused with passion and dance music by Barber and Mendelssohn as well as a work composed by Brown himself. The performance is hosted by CMS Co-Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han, who share insights into the music and performance.
