|Recurring Event (See all)
An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until November 3, 2019

The National Museum of the American Indian hosts a free festival to celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), featuring hands-on activities, make-and-takes, live music and dance presentations, and family activities throughout the weekend. The Day of the Dead is a festival celebrated by people in Mexico, parts of Central and South America, and many Latino communities across the United States as a way to honor family and friends who have passed away. The tradition originates from the Indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica, including the Mexica (Aztec) and Maya.
