Point of interest… Aviation Events – Mid Atlantic Region is not in anyway affiliated with either the Special Olympics, or Dulles Airport. Our purpose with this “event page” is to share, and inform our audience about an upcoming aviation event.

Presently the only website for the Dulles Day Event is last year’s website at http://planepull.com/ however this will be updated in the very near future. Please direct all questions to the links associated with that website.

Last year’s Plane Pull that was sadly cancelled due to the weather.

At the moment details are still coming together but The Dulles Day Plane Pull is Special Olympics Virginia’s “heaviest” fundraiser, pitting teams of 25 against one another to see who can pull a 164,000+ pound Airbus 12 feet the fastest.

In addition to the Plane Pull for the Special Olympics, there is a huge aviation display featuring aircraft from all eras, several early morning marathons, displays by several law enforcement agencies and fire departments, dozens of family oriented vendors, and there is even car show!
