InterAct Story Theatre Presents: Books Alive!

FreeInterAct Story Theatre’s Wheaton Family Theatre Series returns on Saturday, January 13th with Books Alive!, part of their Family Literacy Fiesta. This FREE community performance celebrates a love of books and stories through the art of drama. Executive and Artistic Director Ali Oliver-Krueger leads an interactive story workshop for both kids and adults, diving into a world of creative exploration.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: InterAct shares the joy of stories as Executive and Artistic Director Ali Oliver-Krueger leads an interactive workshop for kids and parents. We’ll chase away the chills by exploring a kid-friendly folk tale as actors–playing drama games, sharing a storytelling experience together, acting out stories in our own words and even making up a new story to share! Everyone gets into the act with InterAct Story Theatre’s teaching artists in this engaging and fun frolic with books. Join us and leave those winter blues behind! ABOUT THE WHEATON FAMILY THEATRE SERIES: InterAct Story Theatre invites you to a series of FREE performances for families and young audiences including interactive family events, dance, opera, creative drama workshops, and world music, October 2017 through May 2018! This initiative by Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County aims to activate our home base of Wheaton, Maryland as an Arts and Entertainment District, and we are excited to follow-up our successes of our first two seasons and continue to activate arts for all ages in our very own backyard!
