The Mubadala Citi DC Open, Washington, D.C.’s premier professional tennis event, has delighted tennis fans in the nation’s capital since 1969 and will return to Rock Creek Park Tennis Center this summer, July 29 – August 6. The tournament recently combined forces with the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic to create the the fifth largest professional tennis event in the United States and the only combined ATP-WTA 500 level tennis tournament in the world. The nine-day event offers fans elevated on-site experiences and world-class tennis, featuring some of the best men’s and women’s competitors.
This year’s event will feature top players from both the ATP and WTA, including Daniil Medvedev, Frances Tiafoe, Nick Kyrgios, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Andy Murray, Taylor Fritz, Sloane Stephens, Victoria Azarenka, Daria Kasatkina, Felix Auger-Aliassime and more.
The highly anticipated event promises an unforgettable experience, bringing in an average of 81,000 attendees each year. From memorable tennis matches to live music, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Indulge in elevated hospitality experiences provided by the tournament’s esteemed beverage partners. Stella Artois will be bringing an exciting new activation to the tournament with a vintage airstream rolling into Rock Creek Park. Tequila brand Real Azul will come together with local Taqueria Taco Bamba to create a Real Azul Tequila Lounge, celebrating Mexican street food and premium agave spirits. Kim Crawford, Ketel One, Tanqueray, and others will showcase their products through fun, innovative activations.
Embark on a culinary journey in between matches with Michelin-starred chefs Nicholas Stefanelli, Michael Mina and José Andrés, taste new offerings from Ladurée, Taco Bamba and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and enjoy stadium classics from DC’s top caterer, Design Cuisine. Patrick O’Connell’s famous truffled popcorn from The Inn At Little Washington will be available in the Citi Lounge and suites throughout the tournament, marking the first time this delectable treat has been available at a public event. Returning to the tournament are local favorites Oro Pizza, Duke’s Grocery, Dolcezza, Roaming Rooster, Ice Cream Jubilee, King Street Oyster and Georgetown Cupcake.
