The Q?riusΒ Exhibit at The National Museum of Natural History is geared towards Tweens and Teens, but my 4 and 7 year olds had an absolute blast exploring this space!
My little scientists loved searching for specimens specific to their interestsΒ (sea creatures for my daughter, dinosaur bones and human skulls for my son…), scanning them for more information, and examining them under microscopes. They both had hundreds of questions for the very knowledgeable and patientΒ volunteers, and we learned so much!
“Visitors can use microscopes, handle some of the 6,000 collection objects, solve science puzzles, do touchscreen activities, and even meet a scientist. In Q?rius, visitors can unleash their curiosity with surprising results.”
Entrance to this exhibit, along with the museum itself,Β is free.Β And as an added bonus, the butterfly exhibit is free on Tuesdays but make sure to get your tickets as soon as you get there as the entrance time “sell out” quick.
