Every summer we head to the Delaware/Maryland beaches in search of sun, sand, and seaside adventure. This year we got to experience The Sea Rocket in Ocean City, Maryland (located on 1st Street, bayside), and it was the most fun we had all week!!

We loved everything about this boat tour! Speeding across the Atlantic with great music blasting is simply an amazing way to spend the afternoon! The captain cut the engines when we came across a pod of dolphins, and we were SO excited to be so close and watch them play around the side of the boat!!

The trip totals about 40 minutes, all of which are super exciting! I was initially a little weary of taking my cautious 4 year old on board, but I’m so glad we did! He LOVED it! Though the boat is fast, it is really family friendly (infants included) and not at all scary.
I would highly recommend experiencing The Sea Rocket! It was such a wonderful adventure and I can’t wait to go again!
Know before you go:
–Pricing: Kids 3 years and under free, children 3-12 $10, adults $20, seniors $15. Military and First Responders receive a $2 discount anytime. Purchase tickets here. Reservations are highly recommended.
-No strollers on board
-You may get wet!!
-No worries about going on a hot day- the wind and spray of the sea will keep you cool!
-There are lots of places to grab food nearby, but I would HIGHLY recommend going to De Lazy Lizard for lunch/dinner- it is located right on the water and has gorgeous views, plus it is super child friendly with an awesome playground for the kids to burn off some energy!
-Free parking
-No bathrooms on board, but easy access to bathrooms (inside The Lazy Lizard) before and after the ride
-Even with prepurchased tickets, seating on the boat is first come first serve, so I would suggest arriving 20 minutes before you’re departure time to line up if you want a seat on the front of the boat (but don’t worry if you’re running late- there are no bad seats!)
