George Mason University opens its state-of-the-art Art and Design Building to the public in a special once-a-year, family-friendly celebration to benefit the visual and digital arts. Guests of all ages tour more than 15 studio spaces and interact with student and faculty artists in action, plus have the opportunity to create their own works of arts. Studios include graphic design, photography, printmaking, sculpture, painting, drawing, new media, mobile game design, and video, plus a new campus mural exhibit. Food and beverage stations will be located throughout the building, plus a silent auction of arts related items and experiences. Proceeds support arts scholarships and visiting artist residencies. Free for children 18 and under.
