Pinkalicious the Musical at BlackRock Center for the Arts was a Pinktastic show!
The musical, based on the book by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann, comes to life in a cute performance for all ages to enjoy! Pinkalicious is enthralled with the sweetness of her favorite pink cupcakes. Humor ensues when she enjoys one too many cupcakes and much to her excitement turns completely pink!
The performance was presented by a small cast of 5 performers who held the attention of the audience from start to finish! The kids in the audience all seemed quite fascinated with the performance and the tale of what too many sweats can do to you!
It turns out the whole Pinkerton family loves pink! The relationship between father and son dispels gender color stereotypes as we learned Mr. Pinkerton was the first known case of “pinkatitus” and her brother Peter was the third case.
After the show, we were delighted to enjoy the Pinkalicious Cupcake Tea Party. Each child enjoyed a pink cupcake and cookie, all hoping they didn’t eat enough pink frosting to turn them pink 🙂 The children got to meet with the characters from the play, enjoy sweat pink treats and decorate a princess craft.
Things to know before you go:
