We enjoyed kicking off the fall festival season with the Pumpkin Village Fall Fest at Leesburg Animal Park. The best part of the Pumpkin Village Fall Fest is that it combines a petting zoo and fun fall activities. There are fun activities for all ages, like the wagon ride and animal interactions. There are decorated playhouses, a cow train, a corn bin, moon bounces, a kid’s pirate ship, a play train, a spider web crawl and a kid’s hay maze for younger kids. The more adventurous kids will enjoy the giant hill slides, a kids’ zip line, pedal carts, an inflatable slide and pony & camel rides. Weekends and Columbus Day there is also live entertainment and professional face painting. We enjoyed the Pumpkin Village Fall Fest with children ages 2-7, which were great ages for the activities.
In addition to the fall festivities, admission includes meeting the animal friends. There are tortoises, serval cats, gibbons, camels, zebras, sloths, lemurs, llamas, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, hens, fish, and more to meet at the Leesburg Animal Park. Many of the animals can be fed by the guests and there is animal food for sale at the entrance and along the trail in case you run out. Don’t forget to check out the Farm Market where pumpkins, gourds, baked goods and hot beverages are for sale. There is also a free apple snack and apple cider close to the main building. If the kids haven’t been worn out by all of the outside activities and visiting with the animals, there is also an indoor play area where they can burn some additional energy. This area is best targeted for kids ages 2-6 and also includes some additional exotic animal displays.
