Fall is a busy time for families and it can be hard to sneak in some adult only fun. Calleva makes your fall date night easy and unforgettable with their Deadly Dinner. We thought we had experienced all the Halloween fun at Calleva, until we were invited to the Deadly Dinner. We love celebrating Halloween at Calleva – there is fun for the whole family! The Enchanted Forest celebrates the whimsy and magic of Halloween and brave souls can have a terrifying good time in The Haunts. Somehow the Deadly Dinner surpasses both of the those experiences.
Calleva offers farm to table dining for adults with their Dirty Dinners. During the Halloween season the Deadly Dinners adds VIP access to the haunts to this dining experience. This deadly good fun starts with drinks from Jane Layne’s Saloon by the fire followed by a farm to table dining experience under the fall evening sky. The twinkle lights, barn & haunted town create a spooky ambiance. The servers and staff add another level of haunt with their un-dead makeup and performances, including some of the characters from The Town who made cameos throughout the meal.
The dinner takes a turn for the worse after the main course when the group is escorted to the beginning of The Town – a haunted Western town complete with an ancient church, decrepit mineshaft, freaky butcher shop, jails, saloons, and cat houses. The line for The Town is usually long, so skipping it is a huge perk! Desert is served by a fire in the garden before the last haunt of the night, the Haunted Forest Trail. We skipped the line again and went right onto Trail 2. The trail winds through the dark woods with terror around every turn. Trail 2 is similar to the original, but the scenes are closer together and there are a lot of startles in between the big scenes. This is not the haunted forest of my youth, it is a multi-sensory experience designed to haunt you long after you’ve gone.
Deadly Dinner makes a great evening out with friends or a date night with your boo this October. Get your tickets today because they are selling out fast!
