Pack the stroller in the car and your littlest one too, we're going for a hike! Our strolls are on paved or gravel paths throughout Montgomery County and feature some of the best places to explore and enjoy nature with young children. Come join us as we enjoy the fresh air, work with our hands and tap into our creative side. Have you ever seen a DIY project video and thought to yourself I wish I could do that? Well now you can! This program is for the beginner that needs a little guidance or the experienced that wants to try something new. We will complete a project using a mixture of salvaged, recycled and new materials. Prior experience is not necessary.

Maryland Flying Squirrels are abundant, cute, and active year-round, but few see them in the wild because they are active at night - nocturnal. BNC has established a squirrel feeding station so some of our flying squirrels can be seen up close by our visitors. The program starts on the Nature Center deck 30 minutes after sunset to allow the sky to darken. Rain cancels the program. Face coverings and physical distancing required.

Wear your hiking boots and dress for the outdoors and don't forget your water and trail snacks as you join a park naturalist for this adults-only two to three mile hike to explore the trails of Agricultural History Farm Park.
